There are a multitude of beaches around Kristiansand. Here are a few of our favourites not too far from Nodeland. Unfortunately, none of them are walking distance, but they are all within a short drive.

Åros is a 15 minute drive away. There is a big, lovely sandy beach, cafè and other facilities. It is very popular with families.

But there are two other lesser known places that we prefer, that are mostly used by the locals.

Gratjønn is a «secret» little gem, just a 5 minutes drive from the house. Ask us for directions! It is a small lake with a tiny sandy beach, a wooden platform with a ladder to enter the water, and a small wooden swim raft in the middle of the lake. It is popular with families and local people.

Donevann / Hellevika / Romsviga. These are close to one another on the coastal road (road 456) between Søgne and Vågsbygd, about a 20 minutes drive. There is a small cafè in both Hellevika (open every day from middle of June to middle of August) and Romsviga (open every Sunday year round). There are no web pages connected to them, so just google them, or ask us.
